On June 8, 2017, ERTH held its 12th Annual Charity Golf Tournament at the Ingersoll Golf Club. We were lucky to have another beautiful day again this year for our sold out tournament. As a result, we are thrilled to announce that we raised $10,500 for this year’s charity, the Canadian Mental Health Association, Oxford County. The CMHA Oxford is a community organization committed to building inclusive, healthy communities. In order to reach their goals, CMHA Oxford works in partnership with a group of agencies in Oxford County providing a variety of services and programs throughout the region.
In addition to the tournament, ERTH and Erie Thames Powerlines (ETPL) employees ran a fundraiser of their own. The employee fundraiser raised $500 towards the grand total of $10,500. Pictured below are the employee representatives presenting the employee donation cheque to CMHA Oxford. (L-R Tammy Longworth – ETPL, Andrea Ziraldo – ERTH, Julie Forbes – ERTH, Jake Warner – ETPL, Mike McMahon – CMHA Oxford, Chris White – ERTH) Because of their generosity through this and other employee fundraisers, ERTH is able to continue making a difference in the communities we serve.
Over the years, ERTH has raised over $130,000 has been raised for various charities through the annual charity golf tournament. Some of these charities include the Canadian FOP Network, ALS Canada, Ronald McDonald House of South Western Ontario, The Sunshine Foundation of Canada, The Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation – Ontario Chapter, and more.
