On Wednesday, September 21, 2016, ERTH Corporation hosted the EDA Western District’s fourth annual “Power of Golf Fore Charity” golf tournament at Craigowan Golf Club in Woodstock, Ontario. Not only did the last day of summer 2016 fall on a beautiful day for golf, the tournament was a huge success for a local charity. We are pleased to announce that the tournament raised approximately $20,000 for the United Way Oxford.
The United Way Oxford works to improve lives in Oxford County by engaging individuals and mobilizing collective action. They aim to not only address the symptoms of the problems, but also to get at the root causes to find a permanent solution.
The goal of tournament
The main goal of this tournament is to have fun and network with industry partners while raising money for a great cause. However, winning is also a lot of fun. This year’s winning team was our friends from KPMG LLP pictured to the right.
This annual event is a great testament to what our industry can do when we work together. As a result, this tournament has raised over $175,000 for very deserving charities in our region throughout the years. We certainly couldn’t have done it without the support of our generous sponsors who donated time and money to make this event a success. This year’s sponsors were:
- BCAP (Burlington Corporate Apparel & Promotional)
- CES Transformers
- Gullevin International Co.
- Aird & Berlis LLP
- BMO Bank of Montreal
- Badger Daylighting
- Bluewater Power
- Essex Powerlines Corporation
- G-TEL Engineering
- LaPrairie, a division of Wesco Distribution Canada LP
- London Hydro
- Rushby Energy Solutions Inc.
- TD Bank
- TOC Sales Agency Inc.
- Utilismart Corporation
In addition, our hole-in-one prize sponsors were Scotiabank, Anderson Automotive Group, Nash Jewellers, BMO Bank of Montreal, and Carlson Wagonlit Travel. Unfortunately, no hole-in-ones were achieved this year.
The fifth annual EDA Western District “Power of Golf Fore Charity” tournament will take place on September 20, 2017 and will be hosted by London Hydro. Contact Connect Dot Management Inc. to be added to the communications list.
