16th ERTH Annual Charity Golf Tournament Raises Over $10,000 for Operation Sharing

ERTH presents donation cheque to Operation SharingJune 13, 2023 – Ingersoll, Ontario – The 16th ERTH Annual Charity Golf Tournament was held on June 8th at the Ingersoll Golf Club, attracting over 150 attendees and sponsors from the Ontario utility industry. The successful event raised more than $10,000 for Operation Sharing, a local charity dedicated to combating poverty and its interconnected issues.

Since its inception, ERTH has been committed to giving back to the community through this annual golf tournament. Over the past 15 years, the event has raised an impressive total of $160,000, benefiting various local charities.

The selection of Operation Sharing as this year’s beneficiary reflects ERTH’s dedication to supporting causes that hold significance for the organization, its employees, and corporate partners. Operation Sharing focuses on addressing poverty, food insecurity, inequality, health, and community, recognizing the interconnected nature of these challenges.

By fostering a sense of dignity and choice, they empower community members while equipping them with essential skills developed within a supportive environment. Shawn Shapton, Executive Director at Operation Sharing attended the event to address participants and share an overview of the programs and services offered by the organization. Funds raised during the ERTH Annual Charity Golf Tournament will make a substantial impact on various programs offered by Operation Sharing. With over $10,000 donated, Operation Sharing will be able to further its mission of providing essential support to vulnerable individuals and families in the local communities, including Woodstock, Ingersoll, Tillsonburg, and surrounding areas.
