Embedded Energy Manager to Assist at the General Motors Canada (CAMI Assembly)
Ingersoll, ON - Erie Thames Powerlines and General Motors Canada (GMCL CAMI Assembly) are excited to introduce a new facility Embedded Energy Manager on behalf of the Ontario Power Authority's (OPA) saveONenergy Industrial program.
The Embedded Energy Manager is a dedicated employee who will take on the responsibilities of identifying energy saving opportunities, developing new energy plans, applying for OPA program-related incentives, setting up company energy committees and building business cases to support company investments in energy-efficiency projects.
The new Energy Manager will enable GMCL to raise the bar even further in monitoring their performance, by leading awareness programs, by finding small-but-powerful ways to save, or by spearheading large upgrade projects. The Energy Manager is expected to implement OPA programs that can achieve significant energy savings on a yearly basis.
In the above photo, Graig Pettit (L) and Chris White (R) of Erie Thames Powerlines are formally signing the contract with Les Bogar (C), Plant Manager of GM CAMI Assembly for the Embedded Energy Manager position provided through the OPA's initiatives.
